Sensei Mark began studying karate under Master Sharkey in 1998, shortly after completing his service as an infantry officer in the US Army. "I thought learning karate would be a great way to help keep fit. The physical and spiritual strength I have gained through karate far exceeds what any 'health club' could have ever offered," he says.
Sensei Mark focuses on teaching the fundamentals of traditional Shorei-ryu karate to students of all ages.
Outside of the dojo, Sensei Mark works as a Business Intelligence consultant and serves as a regional Admissions Representative for the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
